Hello everyone. I am a commuter student to a public university. I chose to go to a school in a state which I reside in and do not live too far away from because it was the only state I knew I could afford without going into debt. I live at home with my parents who both have full time jobs but had to take time off due to my father having cancer. I rely on my car heavily as I use it to get to campus and use it to get to my two jobs throughout the week to be able to continue affording college. Recently I got home from a late night shift at a nursing facility I work at and when I woke up the next morning my car was stolen right out front of my house. Although the car was no where near new in fact it was a 2001 ford fusion, it was given to me by my grandmother who has since passed and I had no payments on it. I am in dire need of getting a new car I have no intentions of getting a nice new car yet instead something that is reliable enough to get me from point A to point B for the next year and a half. That being said if anyone would be able to donate anything at all to help me afford a new car I would be beyond grateful. I’v found a used 2006 civic with around 90,000 on it for less than 5k.
