I am 50 and had a terrible divorce leaving abuse behind 10 years ago. I haven’t ever been self sufficient as I do have five children, where four are now growing adults. We have never really had a ‘Vacation’ going to stay a night or just a drive not to far to make it back home. My oldest is on the other side of the country now with my grandbabies, it’s been years since I’ve seen them or hugged them, technology is rad but I miss hugs!!! My car is a beater that needs a lot of work, so I am hoping to get a decent minivan, like $3-5k. At tax time I will have at least $1900 towards this goal. I love my children dearly and I hope to show them some peace of mind, even though vacations are fun too… Even if we just come visit someone somewhere to learn more about life.
