Running a small, ethical business in a rural area is one of the most challenging yet rewarding paths an entrepreneur can take. For years, I have operated a locksmith company in East Idaho to provide my neighbors with affordable security solutions and 24/7 emergency services. However, recent governmental regulations threaten to derail my dream unless I receive critical funding soon.
My locksmith business is a labor of love that puts people over profits. These funds are needed to secure the specialized instruments to create keys and regain entry into locked vehicles in emergencies. Failure to comply will strip me of the ability to service my community when they need it most.
Car manufacturers also adhere to mandates that make entry more difficult by implementing enhanced security technologies. This tremendous financial burden of regulatory fees and upgrading my equipment is a heavy cross for a small business operating on razor-thin margins. Losing my livelihood is not an option when the well-being of my family is at stake.
I have invested a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into building a successful business that serves the people of my community fairly and honorably. I am asking for the modest funding needed to clear this government-imposed hurdle so that I can continue providing this essential service.
