Hello, my name is LaDonja and I’m asking for money to help rebuild my life. I’m a cosmetologist by trade and I’ve spent many days on my feet. Back in 2013, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and Bursitis in both hips which makes it difficult to stand and even sleep. This year has been difficult, back in January 2024, I blacked out while in my kitchen trying to get something to eat. I got dizzy and lightheaded and the next thing I knew, I blacked out and fell on the kerosene heater and scalding hot water fell on my left shoulder leaving me with second-degree burns. I sat in the hospital for over 6 hours and was never seen by a doctor. The next day I went to my primary care doctor, and she sent me to a wound care doctor. Two weeks later I blacked out again but this time it was in my bedroom, and I landed beside the space in my room that I was using to heat my room. My mom saw that my light was on in my bedroom and decided to check on me she found me on the floor. When I looked down at my leg, I noticed that my left leg was burned very badly to the point it was bubbling. I started taking care of my left leg like wound care took care of my arm. A week later my leg started having a fever in it and it was at that time I needed professional help, so I went to the emergency room and was there for twelve hours until they shipped me off to the burn unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital. While at the hospital I had 4 surgeries to repair my left leg. At this point, standing for long periods and climbing steps is very difficult. It would mean so much to me if someone could help me get back on my feet by blessing me with a donation of $40,000. The money will help me be independent again by helping me buy a car, rent an apartment or a house, launch my Medicinal Soap business, and make wigs.
