Hello my name is Alexander, I have worked for everything I’ve ever had since being put out at 14 years old with $10. It made me strong, but I didn’t get past 9th grade, or ever had help from anyone, but I am praying that I can get some help now. I got badly injured in 2006, took me years to walk again, I lost the home I had worked so hard for, I have never again been in position to buy another house, but I managed to get back on my feet pretty well, that is until the pandemic. I lost my shop at the end of 2021, had to put all my tools and belongings in storage, then spent 15 months living on the street in San Francisco. Now I have a temporary place inside, that I’m grateful for. I had been paying for my storage for two years, last month the corrupt storage company “SMARTSTOP STORAGE coliseum way in Oakland ca.” stole all of my belongings, from the ten by 25 unit that I had. Not because of non payment, but because of what I had in there, my life’s work, and $40,000 worth of tools, a collection that took 25 years to gather, all tools needed to build anything. I hope legal aid will help me sue them. But I can’t count on that. I need help with funding to get a new business going, I’m totally screwed without my tools, all I needed was a shop, now I have nothing. Because of being disabled from my accident, I won’t be able to do my building business, because it’s too much to completely start over without my equipment. So I’m going to start an online business, I don’t have everything worked out, but I can’t do anything with only my ssdi pay. Monthly. I need to get an llc, business account, website, a MacBook, probably some training, I also am pretty stranded in my room, without transportation. This has been just a tiny part of what I’ve been through, many people would have given up many times, but I won’t. If I were to have $50,000 or so, I would be able to create an ethical, and successful new business, then I could do more than just barely survive as I’ve been doing, and I would also be able to help other people once I got rolling.
