I had an accident in my lorry on Wednesday 7th of August 2019 at work where I used to drive Class 1 HGV lorries and loved every minute of it, but that fated Wednesday 7th of August 2019 changed my life so completely and so dramatically, I am 54 years old now and have been left with an acquired spinal cord injury… I have 2 vertebrae compressing my spinal cord in my neck, hence the reason for the dramatic career change, I can no longer drive anything, I’m a worker I have always worked since I was 16 when I left school, so now I am trying to start my own print on demand business, it is difficult starting any business with no money but I’m doing it very slowly.
And as well as having an acquired spinal injury and trying to start a business I am also my 81-year-old Mums primary Carer, I cook, make drinks, do all the laundry, all the shopping, cleaning and just generally keep her house running as best I can with the extent of my own injury. My Mum is house bound and as I am her primary carer, and I leave the house twice a month if I am quite lucky just to get a bit of shopping for us
you must adapt to your individual circumstances, so I have opted to retrain in a field I like rather than dwelling on the injury or the accident, this is where your help is so desperately needed… I am now registered disabled an I’m on state benefits ( which doesn’t cover all my bills some months, but I’d rather control my own destiny than fall into a pit of depression over something I have no control over, I am telling you this because I still have a fantastic future maybe not doing something I chose for myself but as I said you have to adapt or fall… I wish to train in digital marketing and search engine optimisation I need your help so I can be a functional part of the community again… I do not want to be on state benefits… I do not want to be a drain on the system… I would rather contribute to it… Thank you in advance for however much you can afford…
