Hello, after reading some of the other requests on this site I feel very self-conscious about requesting funds. Myself, my wife and our two children are from the UK originally but have been living in Thailand for the last year. Already it seems like I’m begging for money for some ‘extended holiday’ but actually the cost of living (a phrase I actively despise) is a lot more reasonable here than back in Western Europe. However, I recently lost my remote job, and despite daily applications (Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn etc…) am finding it very hard to find anything else. On top of that both of my daughters require braces which I desperately want to give them as it will correct dental issues now, rather than later, in their self-conscious teen-years.
I do not intend on relying on begging or charity to sustain the life we are building, but I currently find myself in that most awkward position of having to ask for money to cover the essentials – namely, rent and food.
