Hello, I’m a single dad and I need your help keeping my family housed.
A few months ago I lost my job . I didn’t expect it to snowball this fast.
I went through every dollar of savings I had. I maxed out my credit cards to keep the lights on and food in the kitchen. I’ve been applying, interviewing, calling in, and nothing has landed yet. I’m not idle. I just haven’t gotten a yes.
My family has stepped in where they could, and I’m grateful. But they’re stretched too, and I can’t keep asking.
Right now I’m in eviction court. The utility shutoff notices are on my counter. I’m trying to keep it together, but I’m running out of time and I’m running out of options.
What I’m raising and why:
$6,500; credit card debt and money owed to family/friends
$5,380; back rent / eviction defense
$788.55; electric and gas
$500; groceries for the next 30 days
$700; car payment, insurance, phone, etc.
Total: $13,868.55
I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for a bridge and a few weeks of breathing room while I keep pushing on the job search. The next paycheck goes straight to rent / utilities / debt.
Any amount helps. $100 is a week of groceries. $250 keeps the power on. If you can’t give, a share is genuinely as valuable as a donation right now.
I’d rather be honest about where we are than pretend everything’s fine. Thank you for reading this far.
