Help Me Build a Gentle‑Paced Home Business After Ground‑Breaking Spinal Surgery, to Secure a Future for My Little Boy

My name is Sally. 3 months ago I became one of only six people in the United Kingdom to undergo a rare spinal‑column‑shortening operation, a complex procedure carried out to try to ease years of severe, disabling spinal pain. Before surgery I had worked consistently to provide for my family, hoping I would stay fit enough to watch my child grow up and build some security for us both. Sadly the outcome was not what we hoped for. While the surgery did address some underlying spinal issues, it left me with new lasting physical limits: I cannot walk comfortably for long periods, and I am unable to sit safely for more than about thirty minutes at a time without sharp pain, muscle spasms and exhaustion. Since then regular full‑time, or even standard part‑time employment has become impossible for me. I cannot stand behind a shop counter, travel to an office, or spend long hours at a desk. Every day I must carefully pace my movement, rest often, and manage ongoing discomfort. I have a bright, lively two‑year‑old son who depends entirely on me for care and comfort. Watching him grow brings me so much joy, yet I carry heavy worry: how will I provide for him long‑term, maintain our home, and give him stable opportunities if I cannot take on conventional work? Right now I rely on limited government support; it covers only basic essentials and leaves no room to invest in new opportunities or build something sustainable. I do not want to remain dependent on benefits indefinitely, nor do I want my little boy to grow up seeing his parent unable to provide through choice. My dream is to launch a carefully‑designed low‑effort home‑based small business, planned around my physical boundaries. Because I cannot work long stretches myself, the business idea is built to employ one part‑time worker to carry out the main hands‑on tasks, while I manage planning, orders and communication in short, gentle bursts between rest periods. This way I can lead the venture without pushing my fragile spine past safe limits. With appropriate start‑up funds I can buy essential initial supplies, basic digital tools, carry out small safety checks and make the first part‑time wage payments to get going. Once established the business should generate enough regular income to cover our household costs, keep the part‑time role going, and gradually create a little savings fund for my son’s future. This is not about seeking luxury; it is about finding a dignified, sustainable new path after my body changed so unexpectedly. Every donation, however small, would go directly toward those essential opening‑stage costs. If you cannot give financially, sharing this appeal would also mean so much to us. I want to be able to tell my little boy one day that even after a life‑changing operation, we found a way forward together. Thank‑you sincerely for reading my story and for any kindness you can offer.
