I’ve been trying to get working dentures for 5 years now,without any luck. It’s been vary frustrating. I’ll start from the beginning. I had to keep going to the dentist to have teeth removed. Started with my wisdom teeth,then the teeth infant of them would start listening so I’d have to have them removed and then the same thing happened again with the ones in front of those. To the point my dentist just said it would be better if I had them all removed. I really wasn’t looking forward to doing that but I asked some of my friends how their Dentures worked with them and they gave me positive feedback on them. So I told my dentist to go ahead and pull them all.
My first set of Dentures went like this went in for the procedure started it out okay. Then the person that was in charge of doing my dentures had some personal issues and it took me about 9 months to finally get my dentures fitted to my mouth. Only to have them not work too well, or stay in place. After three attempts of going in and leaving with the same problem I had going in I gave up on trying to get them fixed at that place. I tried doing My own repair on them, and I actually did a better job than the dentist that tried getting to fit in the first place. But I still could not get them to stay in place properly especially with my lower set. I then found a site online that I could get a pair of professional dentures made by way of them sending me a kit to get impressions done of my own mouth and send them in and they would send me the pair of Dentures back that was $375 of my own money to get that done. They were better than my first set but still had the same problem with my lower dentures not wanting to stay in place. I then tried a DYI Kit. To make a set of dentures. At a cost of $80. As you can imagine they did not work at all.
The only thing that’s going to work for me is a permanent or snap in set of dentures. At a cost of $20.000.00 . I’m 63 on SSI of $897.00 a month. Please help me. I miss eating, apples, nuts,a good steak, and everything that requires you to have a working set of teeth that don’t fall out every time you’re trying to take a bite of something.
