I am desperate about the situation of me, my partner and our cat Charly. We brought our cat boy from animal shelter 2 years ago. He was already an older guy, 8 or 9 then, now, 10 or 11 now. He was diagnosed with FIV and FELV, so he has to be kept seperate from other cats, in order not to transfer the virus to them. It was an obligation from the animal shelter, that we have to provide a flat with at least one protected balcony, so Charly is able to enjoy the air and sun and look, what is going on outside at least a litte bit. We provided all that, and Charly made it his home quickly. He is such a great guy, enjoying to sleep in bed and boxes and on our bellies, playing through the flat and eating favourite foods. We love him dearly and every thought of losing him causes despare in us. Unfortunately all of Charlies safe, used and loved surrounding is in danger now, because of a lack of money. My partner is age 63, without a job for 10 years now, allthough he tried to find one with all efforts. It is no more easy at his age, and in addition he is severely disabled with cronic diseases. He gets minimum money from the jobcenter, but they are no more willing to pay for the flat, they consider too expensive, they have already reduced their payments, althought the landlord even raised his rent. My partner D is collecting foods even from trash and is no more able to pay the rent, for tv, telephone and electricity. He now has to go to hospital for a spine surgery, will be away many weeks, maybe months with rehab after surgery. If he cannot hold the flat, Charly will have to go back to animal shelter. D tried everything to find a cheaper, payable flat, but got no one within 1 year now. Always they do not want him, because of age, unemployed or with the cat. I of course did everything to help them, but I am in emergency myself now, after having a car accident some years ago, got damaged, had different surgeries, hospital stays and was no more able to do my self-employed business. It went so far, that I had to take different loans and even my mother took loans in order to help me. We are all at our limits right now. I dearly appreciate every dollar, euro, whatever currency and help from you. Thank you indeed and God bless you!
