I am reaching out to share a deeply personal and difficult situation, and to ask for help during this challenging time. My mother, Sue Anne Sleeper, passed away on November 4th in Alabama, where she lived. I live in New Hampshire, and unfortunately, I am unable to afford the travel expenses required to be there in person or to cover the full cost of her end-of-life services.
At 58 years old, I have faced a tough journey finding stable employment for quite some time. It was only this past July that I finally secured a position, and I have successfully completed my probationary period. While this progress has been a relief, it has not yet translated into the financial stability needed for the unexpected expenses I am now facing.
I am trying to raise $3,200 to cover the costs associated with my mother’s end-of-life services. This is not just about money—it’s about honoring her memory, providing the respect she deserves, and handling important matters that require my attention across states. Managing these responsibilities from a distance makes everything more complicated and costly.
I fully understand that times are difficult for many, and it is with great humility and awareness that I make this request. It’s never easy to ask for help, yet here I am, hoping that those who can support might find it in their hearts to assist during this difficult time.
