Hello, and thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
This year marks two incredible milestones in my mother’s life, and I am doing everything in my power to give her a celebration she will never forget.
Her 75th birthday- AND – Her 20, year anniversary of beating cancer twice.
My mother is not just a survivor, she is the heartbeat of our family, the strongest woman I know, and the most selfless person I’ve ever met. She raised 3 kids as a single mother, including my brother, who we lost in a heartbreaking workplace accident. Despite the loss, the pain, and her own health battles, my mom remained steady and full of grace.
Over 20 years ago, she was diagnosed with cancer, twice, and she fought both battles with unshakable strength and never gave up. After recovering, she gave up her accounting career to help her baby sister open a small daycare to help fulfill her sister’s dream, putting hers on hold. At 75 years old, she’s still working 50+ hours a week, caring for children from newborns to 12 years old. She’s only taken three days off each year, just for her own doctor appointments. Her dedication, loyalty, and love inspire everyone who knows her.
To celebrate her 75th and 20 years of being cancer free, I planned a dream trip to Disney World for her and her immediate family, including grandchildren and great, grandchildren she hasn’t seen in over 15 years. It’s something she’s always dreamed of but never had the chance to experience. I’ve maxed out every credit card I have to make it happen because it allows her to check off a few lifelong dreams:
- At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, she’ll experience a real African, style safari and walk through the world of Avatar, her favorite movie (she’s watched it 17 times!).
- At EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival, she’ll be surrounded by art, color, and nature, three things she adores.
- Most of all, she’ll be reunited with the grandchildren she’s longed to see for years.
In addition to that gift, I also planned a birthday lunch at a 4, star steakhouse with her closest friends and siblings. Originally, it was going to be 10 guests. But once people heard it was her 75th and a cancer free milestone for her, the list grew to 20 guests, all eager to show love and celebrate her life. Many are over 68 and on fixed incomes, and I don’t want to turn anyone away.
The lunch is $80 per person, plus 22.7% gratuity, totaling around $98 per guest. With the surprise
Disney trip already stretching me financially, I’m asking for your help to cover the added cost of this special celebration surprise dinner.

Thank you for helping me honor the 75 beautiful years my mom has lived, and the 20 cancer, free years she fought so hard to earn. She has spent her entire life giving to others. Now, it’s her turn to be loved and celebrated.
With deepest gratitude,
