Hi there! My name is Kim and I am a single mother with eight beautiful children. All arranging from the ages of 19 to 5 years old. I have five girls and three boys and 3 of which have autism. Their names are Alexander, Mackenzie, Peyton, Christopher, Cadence, Nichole, Astrid, and Odin. We all live in a tiny three bedroom apartment that is around 800 square feet for about going on 6 years now. My mother also stays with me because I take care of her and assist with everyday tasks because she has a tumor growing on her heart. So we have 10 people crammed in this tiny little apartment. I have five girls in one bedroom and the three boys in the other and my mom she sleeps in the living room on a daybed. Well my youngest son he’s really attached to my mother so he sleeps with her. We have plastic dressers and tubs lined down our hallway & in the living room for the kid’s clothes. There is only room for the kids beds in their bedrooms. My bedroom also stores the kid’s school clothes. Having this many kids doesn’t allow me to get ahead and save. There is always something needed and I solely provide. I work nights and take care of my mother during the day. I have been trying and trying to be able to have a down payment for a house for them. I barely get buy with what I got. So I’m reaching out asking for some help. I would be grateful for any amount that would put a proper down payment on a house, maybe cover closing costs, at least something to make my dreams of homeownership a reality for my family. They need room to breath. I’m a very prideful individual and independent. So I’m very unfamiliar with asking for assistance or anything. But my kids really need the space and deserve more and I want them to feel comfortable at home. I’m not going to list a certain amount cause any funding at all is greatly appreciated.
