I can’t believe someone made a website for people like me. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Ernesto and recently released from Federal Prison for bank robbery. It was a devastating time of my life where I made the worse decisions you can imagine. Now, many years later after being released, I find out my father has colon cancer. The sweetest man I’ve ever known..and no one will hire me because I don’t have my N-565 Certificate of Citizenship that was lost and that is required to get an ID; which is required to obtain full time employment to help my dad and myself. I’m a US Veteran of the Navy and cannot get a Texas Identification card to save my life. The N-565 costs over $500, just to get a replacement, and in the meantime, I continue to search for work to help my dad who is on a fixed budget. I receive food stamps and live in my dad’s small living room. I just want to work. I’m strong, but countless rejections have made me weak and I turn to God who is my only source of strength. I hate my life, but I love my dad and I can’t give up on him. Please help me. Anyone who can help me, I come hat in hand and just need a chance. I’m in Fort Worth, Texas and I just want to work and look out for dad the way he’s loved and looked out for me my whole life. Don’t have much but my hands and my dad.
