I am a 31 year old, single mom of 7 young beautiful children and I am struggling to pay my rent and bills. My ex-fiance and father of my children left me and our children with nothing nor will he help with anything. I can’t hold down a job because I am parenting on my own with no type of support of others. I live in a run down 3 bedroom apartment which I now have to pay $1600 a month for. I am 3 months behind on my car bill, I have cut off notices from the power company, and I barely have any food. I started door dashing but I only make enough to feed my kids, and pay on a small bill. I tried getting help from other sources but with lack of money, I couldn’t get the help at all. I gotten denied by unemployment twice. I couldn’t even give my children a Christmas and that hurt me seeing how upset they were. This whole situation have stressed me out to the point I had to be hospitalized 3x for high blood pressure and one for a heart attack. Which also didn’t help my situation at all. I really don’t like the fact I gotten to the point of asking for help, but I don’t want to lose the only place we have. Anything helps, I just need enough to get by until I am able to get back on my feet again.
