Hello, I am here because I have gotten to a position in my life that I need financial assistance along the journey to find another source of income. I am a Lyft driver, so my car is an essential tool needed to try to stay afloat. However, my income has been cut beyond half. Lyft and Uber are taking more than half of our pay. I am asking for $7000.00 to pay rent and car payment for 3 months. I am looking for work to supplement yet haven’t found anything yet working 12-hour days.
I don’t’ know how to make it with rude customers mad at Lyft and Uber for charging them so much but taking it out on the drivers and not tipping at all, then rating us badly, because their mad. Not understanding that is our only means of income. It has become a vicious cycle, trying to please passengers and these rides share programs, plus be on the road 12 hours a day. It has become a hardship with working 12-hour days and having no day off just to only get up the next day and keep chasing that maybe the next day will be a better day.
Please I ask for your help with my rent and food and car payment. I have borrowed so much that I can’t anymore. My husband and father died within 9 months of each other, and it has been a hard journey ever since. My small business, I cannot seem to get funding for no matter how hard I try. I just keep staying positive and praying that someone will help so that I can get beyond this place to pay it forward.
