I was recently in the hospital, just overnight, for a cardiac scare. I was taken by ambulance for having chest pressure and numbness. Thank goodness it was not a heart attack, or anything cardiac. Now, I have a bill from the hospital for $3660. I also don’t have any insurance.
A little back story. Last year, we(my grandmother, 2 sons, and sons girlfriend and 3 year old, and my nephew) were renting a house and due to move out in September. The owner was in a rush to sell and wanted us gone quickly. The rental market in FL last year was insane and we couldn’t find anything. I made the decision to go to GA to regroup. I work from home, so it’s a little easier for me to move around. We found a month to month Airbnb. It was ok, but way to cold and the boys were finding a hard time getting decent jobs. We decided to come back to the sunshine state.
Fast forward to summer 2023, we had found a house to sublease and that was a mistake. Once we moved in, I realized that the person had not been paying rent and we were evicted again. Luckily, we found something supper quick to rent. As you can imagine, my account has taken a bad hit with all the moving. Also, we lost 2 cars to repossession. With all the moving and taking car of everyone, I couldn’t keep up.
I am in the process of trying to fix my credit so that I can buy a house and never be in a situation again, where we are at the mercy of someone else, which is why I can’t really afford to pay this bill.
I am slowing recovering financially but this bill is more than I can handle. I appreciate anyone reading my story and God bless.
