A QUESTION THAT CHANGED MY LIFE: HELP ME EDUCATE 30+ VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN KENYA

One rainy morning in Athi River, Machakos County, I was taking my son to school. As we drove past the muddy paths of the surrounding slums, he suddenly pointed out of the window and asked a simple but piercing question:

“Dad, why isn’t that child going to school like me? And why is he being rained on?” I didn’t have an answer.

Later that day, on my way back from school, I went looking for that child. I found him wandering through the slum, crying and calling for his mother. Eventually, I learned that she had left him sleeping in a makeshift shelter while she rushed out to look for a casual job—hoping to earn just enough to buy food for the day.

That moment changed my life forever.

From One Child to Many Lives Changed

From that day, I began intentionally seeking out children like him—children trapped by poverty, vulnerability, and circumstance, not lack of potential. I started with one child, then two, then more.

Over the years, despite limited personal resources, I have supported 10 vulnerable children in primary school and others through university. Today, some of them are employed, independent, and supporting others. Their lives—and futures—were transformed simply because someone answered the question my son asked that rainy morning.

The Growing Need—and My Strained Capacity

The slums around Athi River continue to expand. Every year, more children are forced out of school due to extreme poverty, food insecurity, unstable family structures, parents relying on irregular, poorly paid casual Labor among other reasons.

While my commitment has never wavered, my resources are now severely strained. Long-time well-wishers are giving less each year due to tough economic times in Kenya. Yet the number of children needing help keeps growing. Turning these children away is not an option—but I cannot do this alone anymore.

The Vision: Educating 30+ Vulnerable Children from 2026 Onwards

I am seeking to raise USD 77,570 to support 30+ vulnerable children beginning in 2026 and beyond. This funding will provide school fees (primary and secondary education and university), school uniforms and learning materials, daily meals and basic nutrition, basic healthcare and psychosocial support, and stable educational continuity, so children stay in school. This is not charity—it is investment in human potential.

Why Your Support Matters

Education does more than teach reading and writing. It breaks cycles of poverty, restores dignity, creates future leaders, workers, and parents who uplift their communities

I have seen this transformation firsthand—10 times already. With your support, I believe we can replicate this impact 30 more times.

A Personal Promise

Every dollar raised will be used transparently and responsibly for the children’s education and basic needs. These are real children, in real communities, whose lives can change forever because you chose to act.

That rainy-day question from my son still echoes in my heart. Today, I am asking you to help answer it. Let us touch Children who don’t lack intelligence or dreams—only opportunity.

Please join me in giving 30+ vulnerable children the chance to go to school, stay dry when it rains, eat when they are hungry, and dream without limits.

Thank you for believing in these children—and in the power of education. Your contribution directly funds education and basic survival needs—creating measurable, lasting impact. Your support can move a child from the mud into a classroom—and change a life forever.

Our kindness today can rewrite a child’s tomorrow—one school day at a time, so that when it rains again, let these children be in classrooms—not alone in the mud. You can make that possible.

Stand with us. Give a child a chance!
