Help Us Cover Urgent Medical Bills After My Wife’s Heart Failure
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult and humbling moments of our lives.
On 17th June 2025, my wife was rushed to a private hospital after suffering a sudden and severe heart failure. She was admitted twice to the medical ward between 17th and 29th June, and then spent the entire month of August in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), fighting for her life.
Thanks to the incredible care she received—and the grace of a generous donor who covered the initial hospital bill—she was discharged on 3rd September 2025 and is now recuperating at home.
But our journey is far from over.
We are members of the Discovery Medical Aid Scheme, under the Essential Delta Core plan, which unfortunately does not cover many of the critical procedures and specialist services she required.
We are now facing additional medical bills from:
- Cardiologist consultations
- Lancet Laboratory diagnostics
- Radiology imaging
- Post-discharge medications and follow-up care
The total outstanding and expected costs are projected to exceed R500,000.00.
