At only 4 years old, I was shot during the war in South Sudan. The bullet left permanent damage in my thigh, with metal still inside my leg and two large scars that remain open and painful.
For many years, I have lived with physical pain, especially during cold weather, and emotional pain from the scars I carry. Growing up, I struggled with confidence and often felt ashamed of my body.
I dream of having surgery to remove the metal and repair the damage so I can live without pain and finally feel confident in my own skin.
I am asking for any help possible toward medical treatment. Your kindness could help me heal from wounds caused in childhood and give me a fresh start.
