I URGENTLY NEED FINANCIAL HELP

Dear donor.

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Tunde Odugbesan, and today, I must gather the courage to share my story with you, seeking your compassionate assistance in a time of great need.

Life is relentless, and it often bestows its challenges upon those who least expect them. I am writing to you now, humbly asking for financial support, as my family and I find ourselves facing a profound struggle that we cannot overcome alone. It is with great vulnerability and an open heart that I share our heartfelt plea with you.

Just a few years ago, our lives were filled with joy and promise. We were a stable and happy family, navigating life’s twists and turns with optimism and determination. However, fate had different plans for us. Our lives took a different direction after COVID-19 struck the whole world. We were still leaving fine during COVID-19. Not really affected that much, that we could still help others in need.

The story began to change just after June 1st 2020. We partially resumed work and the business was completely down and all the savings had already been exhausted. And the next thing is to downsize, cancel all the car and business insurance as we could no longer afford them as it were. We laid off a few staff as we could no longer pay salary simply because there was no income enough to pay for the office rent, let alone for the other fixed running expenditure. The children school fees became an issue.

We were able to survive through 2020 until 2021. We started by selling our a few belonging in the second quarter of 2021. We sold our cars and we got a smaller one. We later started selling a few equipment as the storage rent began to accumulate because of the equipment that were taken to the rented storage due to the office space downsize. We eventually sold our house in May 2022, just to be able to pay some huge outstanding debts, and we invested the remaining in order to get back to our feet. Unfortunately, we lost the whole capital in the investment.

On the 9th day of June, 2022, I was hijacked by 3 gunmen around 6:30pm – 7pm. It was indeed a tragic experience that l would never pray my enemy should experience. My two phones were taken. My bank cards taken and the little money l have in my accounts were withdrawn, both from personal and business account. Which l reported at the nearby Police Station after l was dropped around 11pm and l got a case number for that too.

On the 22nd day of same month, just a day to clock 2 weeks, the other smaller car l was driving was stolen just in front of a house around 7:30pm – 8pm. The incident too was reported at the nearest Police Station and a case number was issued. I had my sport bag, iPad, my passport and so many other docs in the card as at the time the incident happened. I can actually go on and on and on.

Since then, our lives have never been the same. Whatever income made is just to be able to put food on the table, buy fuel to transport the children to school and pick them up. We could no more afford to pay fro the school fee. My wife is not really making any contribution as her business is completely not making much that to afford the rent.

I am currently not driving any car as my car has been faulty and l couldn’t afford to repair it as we speak.

With tearful eyes, I recount the painful sacrifices we have made to ensure our children receives the care they need. We have virtually sold all we could, depleted our savings, and applied for loans, all to sustain the fragile hope of getting back to our feet. Yet, even with our tireless efforts, financial ruin looms over our heads like a dark cloud.

In the midst of these distressing circumstances, we remain resilient and refuse to let despair settle over us. However, we find ourselves at an impasse, where our indomitable spirit alone cannot bridge the gap between the cost of the expenses that go down on a monthly basis. It is in this moment of desperation that we turn to you, extending an earnest plea for financial support.

We pray that you can find it in your heart to help us navigate through this storm, to provide a glimmer of light amidst our overwhelming darkness. Your generosity would not only alleviate our immediate financial burdens but also restore our belief in the inherent kindness and compassion that exists within humanity.

Every dollar, every small act of kindness, brings us closer to a renewed sense of hope. Your involvement could help save a life, uplift a family, and inspire a community. We believe, with unfaltering conviction, that together, we can overcome this trial and reclaim our lives. At this junction, apart from other all that we are going through, our 3 children might not be allowed to resume next year with their co learners as we are owing a huge amount which need to be paid as a matter of urgency. Even if we have to change their school to a public school which we intend to do by the way. We still have to pay for the outstanding fees in order for us to get letter of transfer from their present school to public school.

The total amount needed to settle my children’s school fees, including other debts, is approximately $25,000.00 – $30,000.00
