In a small corner of Mexico, a story of perseverance and family love is unfolding amidst overwhelming economic challenges. My name is Iván, and I want to share our story with you, in the hope that you can be part of a real change in our lives.
I am a single man who manages a small local pharmacy. For years, we have served our community by providing essential medicines to keep families healthy. However, recent times have hit us hard. Our business, which is our livelihood and pride, is running low on the necessary capital to stock vital medications.
But that’s not all. In our home, my parents, who are elderly but still hardworking, do their best to help. My mother has a beautiful tradition during the holiday season: with her skill and love, she creates piñatas that bring joy to the hearts of children and adults alike. Piñatas are a symbol of celebration in Mexico and many countries in Central America, and through their sale, my mother has managed to contribute some money to help with household expenses.
This year, however, we find ourselves at a crossroads. Economic troubles have deeply affected our lives. We cannot afford to buy the materials needed to make the piñatas. And, more urgently, we are struggling to keep our pharmacy open and stocked with the medicines the community so desperately needs. We urgently need to raise $1,000 to purchase medicines and the materials to make the piñatas. This is a desperate call for help from compassionate people like you who can make a tangible difference in our lives and the health of our community.
