I am originally from the United Kingdom, and I’m a 26-year-old female. Australia has become my home for the past 6 years, but escaping a recent domestic violence situation left me jobless and struggling financially. I am two weeks behind on my rent and because I’m not a citizen I cannot get any support, my mental Health issues are getting worse, despite this hardship, my passion for the healthcare industry and helping others burns strong.
Reaching out for help is incredibly difficult, especially after facing abandonment throughout my life. My father, who was my sole source of support, passed away 3 years ago. Now, my mother’s battling cancer, leaving me with even fewer option’s.
My student visa requires me to pay my fees, and I’ve exhausted all my resources. Any support would be a lifeline as I work towards building a future in healthcare and giving back to this country that has given me so much.
My dream is to become a nurse, and I’ve already completed my Certificate III in individualized support. I want Diploma qualification, then I can work in the industry, then becoming a nurse I can finally take that next step. I won’t give up on my dreams.
