Hi, I’m Juan, and I want to share something very important with you. I have been through a journey full of challenges and dreams, and my passion for chess has been my light in the middle of it all.
I left my native Venezuela looking for opportunities in Chile, but the road has not been easy. I work 12-hour days, six days a week, with the constant fear of being deported. Despite this, I have managed to stand out in international chess tournaments, but the money I earn goes mainly to support my family in Venezuela and for the medical expenses of my mother, who is fighting a disease that could be cancerous.
The difficulties don’t end there. A wrist injury at work causes me persistent pain, and tooth decay keeps me awake at night. My great desire is to study programming, something that would allow me to change my life, leave this strenuous job and have a more stable future.
Every day is a test, but my determination is still intact. I’m not asking for a favor, just a chance to study and improve my situation.
Any help means a lot. Every contribution is a sign of solidarity and hope for me, a step towards my dreams.
Thank you for listening to my story and for considering supporting me on this journey to a better life.
