It was mid October 2018 when we had to rush our sweet furbaby Panther to the emergency vet. They preformed blood work, admitted her overnight, and administered medicine and fluids, for the next 18 hours. Panther’s blood results were off the charts and it was determined that she was having kidney failure. We had taken Panther in as a stray, fed her boiled chicken daily, had her fixed and loved her every day of her life with us. It was to our dismay that even with the vet’s help she showed no improvement and seemed worse than before. We made the hard choice of having our 5 pound , loving, sweet, Panther put to sleep. Today we face the struggle of catching up on the bills we fell behind on due to the emergency vet bill. The bill was $978. This put us behind on rent, and every other bill we had, which resulted in late fees piling up. We had just moved into our current apartment and had not even finished paying the security deposit of $650 when this happened. My Fiance and I both work full time. I also work a second and third job, waiting tables and pet sitting. It feels like we are doing all we can and not making a dent in any of the bills we got behind on, because of the late fees and overdraft charges. If someone can please just help us get caught up we would be extremely grateful. We currently are behind by $198 on our car payment, $315 behind on the electric bill, and are still behind by $650 on rent. In addition to that we have medical bills of our own that amount to $806 as well as credit cards that are $155 (total without late fees each month). We are not asking for a lot, we just need help getting back on our feet. We’ve cut costs everywhere we possibly can, we use prepaid phones, food banks, we have no internet or cable, we never go out to eat or drink, we don’t smoke, and we don’t do drugs. I’ve also deferred my college loans, but that will not last forever. all we ever do is work and it isn’t enough. I am only 25 and my Fiance is 30. Bless you for reading our plea for help, and thank you for everything. Literally any amount helps.
