In 2020 when the rest of the world was worrying about Covid I was worried I might never walk again.
Due to a hole in my heart, which had gone unnoticed throughout life I had a life changing stroke.
I still have issues, my fingertips feel like I’m always holding cotton wool and I have to wear a leg brace to walk properly. Life was tough and I couldn’t work for years meaning I burned through the little savings I had.
But, I’m a winner. I’m not letting this get me down and I will win at life.
I was raised in Scotland but American born. 99% of my family are in the states and I want to move back there to be with my sister and nieces and make a life for myself.
It was my plan to do this before getting Ill and it’s all I think of but financially I’m in a hole. It’s the only thing that really depresses me, not being able to financially afford to do this.
I would love to set up a business out there doing exterior cleaning, something I do here but on a very small scale .
The thought of being able to buy a truck and the equipment needed to run the business and to be able to help my sister and her kids and who knows, maybe meet my future family is what keeps me going every day.
