To The Incredible Person That May Eventually Bless Us,
I met my wife back in 2018 after going through one of the worst periods in my life. I had just lost my mother in 2015 due to failing health, my childhood home was in foreclosure due to her passing, I was going through a very one sided divorce and had just lost my job with JPMorgan Chase. In the midst of all of this when life seemed to be very bleak, I met my “Angel”. We met on the internet, and were both in a position where we confessed that we were done with looking for love. We learned that we had both cancelled our subscriptions and were willing to just deal with being single. But fate happened, and after sharing our life stories we agreed to talk on the phone. The first time we talked we were on the phone for hours. Yes, this was the “One”. We made the decision to be closer, and I relocated from my state to hers. We dated for 3 years and tied the knot in the midst of the pandemic in 2020 in a very simple Justice of The Peace ceremony, with her youngest daughter as our witness. Recently we have faced numerous crisis’ over these past few years. We have dealt with health scares, expensive car repair issues, changes and loss of employment, and other extreme financial challenges. It seems like we are always robbing Peter to pay Paul. We are still hanging in there, but still facing the same challenges. We had to upgrade to be a 2 car family but, my car (which was a definite blessing) has drained the little bit of money we had saved and sets me back $550 a month plus $350 for our full coverage auto insurance monthly. My wife’s car note is $484 a month and is currently not running due to engine related issues. The estimated repairs are in excess of $1000 and are necessary. Add to that paying rent, our other bills, medicine for my Type 2 diabetes, and my stepdaughter’s Type 1 diabetes leave us in a position of not having a life where we can enjoy anything outside of struggling to survive & maintain. We seem to be in a bind each month to where one little thing could send us over a financial cliff. We have borrowed money and sold personal belongings to be able to eat at times or just to have basic necessities. We have been living in a two bedroom apartment for almost 4 years that we have very much outgrown but, can’t afford to upgrade. We want to get a house, but can’t begin to save any money to get one. If we could pay off our cars and not have to worry about paying our rent, our incomes would allow us to be able to live a great quality of life and possibly save the kind of money needed to put down a down payment and pay a mortgage instead of rent. To pay off rent for the next 18 months plus pay off our vehicles would be about $60k. I know that this is a lot to ask for, and we don’t ask for this amount casually. We just hope that someone who can possibly bless us to please do so. I love my wife and stepdaughter, and would love to be able to live the golden years without debt and worry.
