Two years ago, I met a teenager who saved my life. He was a shy, good mannered kid with a 3.9 GPA with dreams of becoming a lawyer. His parents kicked him out, took his car and haven’t spoken to him in a year. He was left homeless, sleeping at a friends house. For a while, I was buying him essentials as a parent would. He is taking college classes so I’ve been paying for his books and supplies. But it’s become too much for me to take care of him. We live in a rural area south of Seattle. The closest public transport in the area is 15 miles away. He wants a job and to stay in school and I want to make sure he does. I want to raise a bit of money to get him a used car so he can get a job and learn to become a responsible adult. I also want to help more with his school. I may not be able to save everyone in this world, but I can save him. I know he will grow to become someone more special than he already is, helping others and being a happy adult. Please, help me help him. He’s been through so much and if anyone deserves help, he does.
* Note: Because he is 17 and I do not have legal custody of him, I can’t post his photo or personal identification. I can give information privately.
