My best friend Mark is a music producer and a musician living in the Philippines. He is a hard working Dad and a loving husband. I met Mark around 2002 and since then it was all about music. I really believed that one day he would make it in the music industry and become a known music producer. In 2008 My best friend was deported back to the Philippines.
I live in the Netherlands and met Mark in 2002 through a good friend of ours. Back then all I wanted was to sing and rap, but I did not have a studio. Then Mark told me that he was a rapper and I could join him in his small home studio and record songs. It was a dream come true.
The musical road was really amazing and at some point we got our songs on the radio and thought “this is it”, we will make it. But, in 2008 my best friend got deported back to the Philippines. My friend was gone and the passion for music went with him.
I got a beautiful wife, a son and my daughter will be born in june. I am officially bankrupt and get just enough money to feed my family, but I am very happy. I want to help my friend financially in the Philippines, but I don’t have that power. I thought to myself…One day. But, time is running out and we are not getting any younger.
Mark is a brilliant musician. He makes some money here and there, but it is not a steady income. I got a plan for him to start making more money so he can provide for his family, but he needs a big push to do that, and that is a fully working music studio. I asked Mark to give me a list of Items that he would need to make professional music. Here is the list:
