My sister and I are writing this to get help for our mum who is 55 and desperately needs some help to better her life.
Over the past 12 years our mum has had a lot of negative things happen in her life and unfortunately it has taken a toll on her both mentally and physically to the point she now lives in constant pain from a degenerative and arthritic spine and with severe depression.
Our mum suffered through an horrific divorce where my father and his now wife tormented and abused her every chance they got this was inspite of an AVO while this may happen to a lot of people my father and his wife seemed to derive pleasure from hurting our mum and making life harder for her.
We were forced to leave our family home when our father ran up massive debt on a joint credit card and our mum couldn’t afford to pay the house payments alone , mum has had to rent ever since or live with friends while my sister and I attend university.
Mum was the victim of two armed robberies one involving two people with a gun the other she had a hunting knife held to her throat for money from her work place which caused her to suffer PTSD.
In the space of 2 years she lost her brother {our uncle } who was a fire fighter to one of the out of control bush fires on the mountains, her father to a heart attack related to his diabetes , about 8 months after this mum lost her mother to gangrene in the legs from diabetes complications and our much loved cousin to a rare form of cancer following his trip to Mexico for platelets treatments , after this she understandably never seemed to recover to her normal self .
About a year after mum also suffered a severe beating out the front of our rental home one night when she went to put the trash out my sister and i were at a share visitation with our father and only saw the severity of her injuries when we came home , she had cuts down her back from a knife ,her right arm was bruised from wrist to shoulder , she had bruises to her face and right side where she was thrown into the brick wall , and she suffered severe nerve damage which caused her to shake like she was having a seizure, the trauma damaged her spine and has left her with permanent pain in her back .
Unfortunately her bad luck has just seemed to compound with a fall down a set of stairs at a friends home where she tore ligaments and tendons from her ankle and cracked the bone in three places , forcing her to wear an orthopedic hospital boot for 3 months.
The last tragedy mum suffered was loosing her few belongings in the last fires we had on the mountains after that she moved and now exists in a tiny room in a shared house trying to rebuild her life yet again.
We know there are a million people who need your help , and while we tried to keep this short, give important details and still have this make sense I’m sure there are many questions that you have unfortunately 400 words is far to short to cover everything , we are asking that you please kindly and generously donate to help our mum rebuild her life , we would love to replace her cameras , and help her get her own home preferably somewhere warmer than where she currently lives to her with her arthritis pain , furniture , a new car and new clothes, and a badly needed salon visit or makeover to help mum feel better about her self.
Until all this drama in her life mum held down two jobs , did volunteer work running a soup kitchen and charity clothing store , volunteered on Christmas day while we were at our fathers to cook and serve Christmas meals and still hand made toys ,art dolls and bears for underprivileged kids as gifts to donate at Christmas to hospitals and charities.
