Hello,
I was born 3 months premature and as a result I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. It has made life challenging. Every 4 months I have to go for Botox treatments where they inject the Botox into the legs to help loosen the muscles to make things relax a bit to reduce pain. The way I walk due to the CP has caused stress on the back and hips and most of the time I’m in a great deal of pain. Then in May of 2018 I was downtown standing at the corner waiting for the light to change and I heard a loud bang. Before I had time to react all I could see was the hood of a white car coming towards me. The car jumped over on to the sidewalk and the front end of the car hit me in the stomach throwing me up over the hood and into the corner of a building and down onto the sidewalk. I know how lucky I am to be alive and I appreciate the help of first responders. The accident has caused damage to my spine from hitting the corner of the building which gives me pretty much constant pain even with the help of physiotherapy and OTC pain relievers and now I have these new problems on top of the Cerebral Palsy. I can’t sit or stand in one position for anymore then 10 minutes or it’s very painful It’s all too much and I’m in a deep depression. I really feel most days like there’s not much reason to go on. I would appreciate some help so I can better equip my home for my disabilities as I fear as I get older it’s only going to get worse for me physically and also mentally. I just want to gain a bit of independence back because right now as things are I need help with most aspects of daily living. (Washing, cooking, laundry). I really appreciate your help.
