Where I currently enroll in university relies on college students at the capital city campus location. The College of Social Science and Public Policy has been located near the student union. In order to access resources from the school, I will need financial assistance for tuition and fees. Books are greatly helpful for understanding my course materials so they may supplement my work. Eventually, I might get a job for the government. My degree is Interdisciplinary Social Science and Political Science. I am a 24 year old female. Since I was nineteen years old, I imagined myself as a Sociologist. It might be possible when I complete my dual major undergraduate degree that I will continue to study in graduate school. I hope to save the lives of children and families.
There have been tons of opportunities that were made for me at The University. My family, friends, teachers, and mentors strongly encouraged me to apply at this school when I was a minor teenager. Due to the support that I had back then, my life choices revolved around college.
My favorite experiences since freshman year were attendance of gathering events, participation with interest clubs, and visits from headliners or personal fellows. Involvement in most of the previously listed activities were available to me by invitation or suggestion. Fortunately enough, in the Spring of 2016 I got the chance to intern for a local social entrepreneurship and innovation organization that allowed me and other members of the field some time to experience an operation that connected communities with sustainable development. There was one event from the internship that unified the school with the community at a festival whose purpose resembled a downtown historical market setting. The location contained public outdoor gardens and vendors.
Plenty of interests guided me to where I’ve yet made it. If I obtain further support towards the pursuit of my inspiration, then it would benefit myself and others. There is more for me to achieve in life.
Right now, I need to pay my auto policy insurance bill, repair costs to my vehicle, college tuition, rent, and hopefully registration and documentation for an emotional support animal with their other medical bills. I love animals and this is a benefit to my living situation seeing as I am a single female with depression and anxiety. My roommates have been gone since the pandemic began to close institutions, which includes our school’s campus, except for residents that remained since spring break.
Last year, I faced homelessness and victimization. Now, I am a survivor of abuse and domestic violence. The summer semester begins next week. Wish me luck!
