“YOU,” yes, You Can Make the Difference.
Nothing in this world can match the internal joy one receives by helping another human being/s, especially those less fortunate or who have fallen on hard times & refuse to give up, although full of despair.
Whether it be your wealth, health, love, etc., it is still incomparable to the joy of helping a fellow human being, This is especially true for altruists; persons who believe in making money to be able to receive the joy of helping others.
Meet me; an altruist, someone who has been rich & broke, believe it or not, many times over again. As I live to give, though sometimes a little too much. But the way I see it, it doesn’t really matter, as this life is truly ephemeral, and it allows me to enjoy the incredible experience with my fellow givers, whether experiencing their suffering & eventual joy firsthand or behind a screen. I want to continue the momentum with your help. Support me…
As I created wealth, though I learned that I should always have an emergency fund to fall back on, the need & the urge to continue helping was too great. And after all, no matter how dire our own situation might become, it could not compare to the truly needy lesser fortunate, due to the social nets afforded us in the west, as well as my own high-level education for example. So I simply continue giving.
When I had wealth, I would not only feed the poor, but provide them sustainable sustenance & would personally kneel down & wash the feet of barefoot children & provide them shoes, and school clothes. I even joined in the cleaning of the washrooms including the toilets, in order to stay humble. Being a Canadian, and a young volunteer since childhood, humbleness & the helping of others were instilled within me from a young age.
Now due to the global economic downturn, this altruist has fallen on hard times himself, not being able to do the thing he loves the most, by continuing to make as much money as he can in order to continue the cycle of giving. Though still give, what I can, when I only have $40 in my pocket, the joy of giving $20 to a needy soul who didn’t see it coming feels like winning the lottery for the first time.
From being on the frontline of the struggle, I have accumulated a formula of how best to invest this money for it to be sustainable. “Give a person a fish, and he will eat for one day. Teach a person to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime.” I already know how to fish, but need the fishing poles in order to be able to teach others. Your contributions & prayers will be used to help a network of givers, and many directly, on the frontline, who never saw it coming.
It’s a war. Though giving the dirt poor isn’t always the best solution, helping those who help others, like myself, create their own network of sustenance to be better prepared & combat-ready so to speak. Doing your part in assuring our army of givers is in essence strong & we are ready to continue doing the work on the ground that needs to be done.
However, still, with things as they are, I NEVER despair. As I know for a fact, whether you believe in Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Mohamed, Buddism, Hinduism, Sikhism, or Taoism, or you are an agnostic/atheist and a good human being, then you also believe that this universe was created is such a way that there is a thing called Karma. And the universe will continue to recycle itself accordingly & that me & the people we are able to help will all well be taken care of.
Whether it be little children in Africa, debt relief for single mothers, helping those who can’t afford to get married, creating SME projects, etc.
Whether through your direct contributions, prayers, or well-wishers, the master plan at hand will continue as long as our hearts & intentions are always in the right place. Now is your chance to be part of it in any way, shape, or form you see fit, via prayer, contributions, etc. I truly believe prayer goes a lot further than money — to an extent — unseen by us mere mortals. But a little goes a long way.
You Make the Difference…by helping a true altruist be able to Help Others…
