I’m Kajal Monica, and I married Amrit. I met him in Italy in 2009 during the summer holidays and he was just a crush at the time ( I was about 11 years old ). I would go each summer with my family for the holidays and come back.. But then in 2016 I told him that I love him and however I was not going to be his girlfriend… I guess he got the message loud and clear and on my second last day of my holiday’s was left he proposed to me. I stayed in Italy for 2 years after that…
Then both decided that because our families were in England, we should move over… I would be able to complete my degree and get a good job and he could be with his parents…
In 2018 I came home and found a job at starbucks, struggled for the first year trying to balance out spending and study…
Now I in homeserve, and have been working on inviting my husband over from Italy…
His dad passed away in June 2020 due to kidney failure and at that time I had pushed the funeral for as long as possible, just so he could see his dad for the last time. At the time due to him being a indian national and because his family was here in the UK and because I was a UK citizen, his emergency visa got rejected. I paid a solicitor £600 and visa costs of £185. I called and paid for call charges to the visa centre and in the end; just one day before the funeral the UK embassy said “sorry we can’t offer him a visa”…
At that time the rest of the money we had saved went towards paying for the funeral and helping my widowed mother inlaw and Amrit’s younger siblings.
Amrit had been furloughed for most of 2020 and also had been helping financially as much as possible with his mum.
Now I don’t have any savings left and it’s been 3 years since me and Amrit have been apart, living in a long distance relationship. All because of passports being different. Purely because I have a British passport and his is an indian one… It took me 2 years to save up the money for his application and with his help to pay bills when I needed it and for him to pay for my trips to visit him… I have a house and all the documents needed to sponsor him. He has sat his test for A1 English Ilets. We just need the money for his application. I need £5500 in total for the family visa as a spouse… £2000 is for the solicitor; Dansul Solicitors Limited – Daljeet Kaur Nijran and the rest is the Home Office fees. I would honestly appreciate this. To be able to reunite with my husband and get our lives back together.
I would really appreciate it if you could help with this please… As I have tried to do it on my own but its been far too difficult with house rent and bills and I would be greatful for this help.. No words can explain how thankful I would be…
I could attach the screenshot for the home office fees but I’ve added the link and its the fee in the first section listed as :
Route to Settlement – other dependant relative | £3,250 | £3,250 | £0 |
The screenshot I have inlisted is of the legal solicitors fees from Dalsun Solicitors, http://www.dalsunsolicitors.com
