Dear humans at Begging money,
In 2018 I moved back to Portugal, from the Netherlands. I am in my fifthies and, wish I had a country to belong to. Portugal was the colonialist of my country and, at the age of 9, I was evacuated to Portugal. At the age of 19 I moved to the Netherlands. 34 years later I moved back to Portugal.
I found a job with a tropical fruits producer, in Olhao, Algarve. The boss is a ex-judge scrib. The 82 year old man, demanded submission and thankfulness, as a salary provider (I have this on video). The ex-judge scrib, from Olhao, made 2 children to his first worker, a gipsy woman who was married and already a mother of 2. This type of behavior is still upholded in Portugal, where men in powerful posistions may demand submission, rape, rob or kill and, suffer no consequences. I refused to sleep with him, thus I lost my job.
As if this wasn’t enough, the ex-judge scrib evicted me from the place I was renting and, he told me when the hunger comes I could eat spinaches, (this grows wildly and free). So I lost income and became homeless in 1 day. The police complaint did not get me anywhere, neither did the ex-judge scrib went to court, I was well cheated here too by my lawyer, the head of the police, who is friends with the ex-judge scrib and I refused by the village’s psychologist for the same reason, freely and openly told in my face.
Surving hunger for 11 months took a toll on my health, the kidneys are damaged probably because of consuming only spinaches for 3 months. I was very weakend and am still recovering, although difficult because of my age.
The business partner of the ex-judge scrib took my Van, even with the Dutch plates. Both of these men, even stole my tools.
Since 2020, I work for a international company as a customer support agent, but with a Portuguese salary of €860, and the houses at €600, I can’t rent a home. To afford a home, most people gether in groups of 3/4/5. I am a single person. Portugal is a country with a huge housing problem. Many people live under human conditions or homeless. The government simply doesn’t care and, I got shouted at, because there are too many people asking for help.
Now, I am almost 58 years old, and fear of losing my job, because I work from home on the computer, only there are no conditions because this is not a real house.
I mobile home would help me a lot, but I am not eligible for a bank loan, with my salary. Mobile homes are around €10.000, and there is the transportation and permit costs, not to mention a plot of land where it is allowed to stand. So all together, to have a safe home, I will have to spend at least 25.000.
Thank God, we all die one day, thus ending our suffering.
Kind regards to all who took the time to read my story and, hopefuly gives some support,
Sandra
