My name is Jasmine Espinosa. I am asking for money because I am doing an internship with Reformed University Fellowship at University of South Alabama. RUF is a christian ministry on college campus all over the US. I have to raise my salary which is $37,319. I know that is not a lot of money and with a college degree I can go get a “real job” but I am not doing it for the money, I am doing it to make Jesus known on the college campus. I was introduced to RUF when I started college at Florida Atlantic University . Prior to college I claimed to be a christian but I did not know Christ, but RUF changed that for me. I came from a school that was K-12 and I was there for all 13 years. I never had to be the new student at any school, so college was my first time being a new student and not knowing anyone. I struggled the first six months of college. Struggled with my image, motivation, and anxiety. Those six months of darkness that I experienced was such a blessing. What I learned quickly thanks to RUF at FAU is that God cares for his children too much to not have their hearts. His calling me to RUF is something that I will be forever grateful for. He has been continually with me, holding my hand and guiding me. God was kind to me through His will, though sometimes it was hard. He brought me through misfortune and pain like I never experienced before. In His mercy, He did not leave me alone in the hard places. God brought RUF into my life to meet me where I was. God loved me enough to wreck me, and he did so in the most beautiful way. He used this ministry, the friends I made while at FAU, family, and my campus minister, Jeff Lee, and intern, Loni Eledui specifically. In wrecking me, He showed me my need to start over. He called me to repent and was gracious enough to give me the ability to do so. As a result of this repentance, I not only saw my great need for my savior, but also my need for others. We were created for community, God is a communal God. I am so thankful for RUF because the Lord directly used RUF and the relationships built thus far to soften my heart and fall in love with my heavenly father. So now that I have the opportunity and privilege to do this for other young adults and college students is so humbling and I am so gratefulI and so thankful to RUF and to the Lord our savior for how he has captured me fully and completely while I was in college, the most tempting and trying time young adults face in their lives. So, like I mentioned earlier, I have to raise a little over $37,000 to be able to be a part of this program. I know that sounds like a lot of money but anything helps and I will take whatever people can give with a gracious heart. I have attached my PayPal link as well as my direct link for the internship where you can give there as well.
