I am recently married and retired. We moved back to our home last year to find that our tenants had wrecked it. We had drove 13 hours that day and arrived at 8pm. When we pulled in the driveway we were shocked. The grass was 2ft high in places. The driveway had craters in it. There was garbage strewn at the bottom of the stairs. Thr place was filthy. It is a raised bungalow, with eight steps up to the deck. We have a barn and the doors were open with garbage bags and loose garbage and furniture piled on top flowing overtop of the door piled 8 feet high.
All this during covid and having to isolate here for 2 weeks. The shingles we had bought in an agreement with the tenants – they was to fix the roof in exchange for 1 months rent where stacked beside the house. The roof had leaked in the living room and kitchen and we had to use buckets. The deck was unsafe. All the screens were damaged. Doors had fist through them. All the laminate flooring was heaved and had to be replaced. Light fixtures dangling. Holes in the walls. All appliances wrecked. Toilet was stained so bad it could not come clean and needed replacing. Sceptic tank had to be dug up and driveway regravelled. Sink had to be fixed. Bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet had to be replaced.
New roof – new ceilings – new doors- new screens – plastering and painting 4 new appliance – new laminate flooring – new screens – electrical – driveway regravelled – sceptic dug up and drained – temporary fix deck – plumbing – new toilet – vanity and medicine cabinet.
So, we would greatly appreciate help.
