Hello, my name is Sam. I normally dont do these things so people I know dont worry, but since I doubt anyone will see me on here, I thought I’d go for it. I am 22 years old. I’ve grown up in a low income family with a single mother, an abusive stepdad, a not around real dad, and 3 siblings. Ive never really had much, so ive tried really hard to change my future to be a successful young adult. I’ve gotten my credit score to 750 and have a very tight balanced budget. Recently I’ve had to take a break from school because everything costs too much combined with normal bills. I was studying in business management so I had more job opportunities. Im 9k dollars in student loan debt and because I have to take a break, I’m having to start paying it back. I know 9,000 doesnt sound like alot but it’s an extra 100 dollars a month paired with the 340 for my car note, 266 for car insurance, 100 for my phone 600 for rent and fees, roughly 200 for utilities, 40 for stuff for my dogs needs, and about 100 for the 2 credit cards I’m also trying to pay off. None of that including groceries or anything else. It’s really hard to pay off those cards when you have to use them because after paying bills it leaves me with only a little for groceries and other things. In 2016 my car died and that’s where it started. I had a Buick gifted to me and it died after a while so I had to finance a new car at 19 years old under my own name. I got approved, got the car, and got in a wreck. My car insurance sky rocketed and I was paying almost 350 a month for it. When my expenses increased I took on a second job and took a break from school. (I currently work in retail and as a waitress as well). I moved closer to work, so I had more time to work at my jobs, but it meant I moved out and took on rent. Now my income ratio is really tight with my actual budget and I’m slowly going into more credit debt to balance it out.. I’m currently $9k in student loan debt, $15kish in car loan debt, and about $2kish in credit card debt (photo attached)…I’m trying to pay these off but it’s hard at 22 to dig yourself out of debt with a job making less than 15 dollars an hour. It’s just very financially stressful being almost 28k dollars in debt and if you do send me financial assistance, I really appreciate it. Thank you for taking time to read this.
