Hello!
My family is needing a new roof and we can’t afford to pay for it. It’ll be a little over $10,000. My husband works for a salary pay so he can’t make anymore or get a second job. I work for McDonald’s at night after he gets home, but that isn’t enough. There isn’t another job in our small town that works late enough, and with the flexibility we need. It costs too much to be worth it to put my kids in any sort of daycare. I watch them while my husband is at work, and he watches them when I go into work. We have a big hole in our roof that’s been pouring water in anytime it rains. It’s right in the valley of two slopes on our roof, so a temporary fix won’t last for long, unfortunately. The rest of the roof will be in the same condition sooner than later. We’ve got three contractors coming to give us quotes, so far one of them has quoted us a little over $10,000 for the roof and gutters.
I’ve got a bunch of our stuff posted online trying to sell it to make money, all we’ve made is $250 so far, which we’ve got stored away. We’ve been living paycheck to paycheck, so I’m trying to pick up more hours and whatever I make over what I typically bring home will also be going into the safe.
