Hello, I have a friend who is literally starting her life over from scratch and has nothing at all. She is originally from California and lived in an abusive home until she decided she just wanted a completely new beginning and moved to Connecticut far away from her family. She is disabled and is just now getting her disability money (she herself is now the payee) where before her family got it and did not exactly spend it on her (from what she told me). I’ve been helping her as much as possible; first, I paid for the bus ride from California to Connecticut, then, I gave her more money just to survive once she got there and while she was staying at a homeless shelter. While at the homeless shelter, she experienced a bad panic attack and ended up going to the emergency room. While she was at the hospital, she contacted me in the middle of the night (thankfully I was awake) and asked if I could book her a motel/hotel stay. I paid for a 22-day stay at a motel where she is currently staying and as of the time of this writing she is on day 2. While she is there, she is going to try her best to start working a job in the area so she can really get on her feet and go from there. She even has future goals that go beyond just getting on her feet and I would love to give her the hope and the opportunity to achieve these goals.
The only problem (the reason why I’m doing this) is that I really can’t keep helping her by myself. I am a full-time student who only works a part-time job, so because of this, I barely earn enough to continue helping her financially for very long. Please help my friend to get on their feet so they can start living the best possible independent life they deserve. It bothers me so badly to see someone struggling like this and knowing I can only help so much. She said herself that she only has me, so without my help, she would be stranded and by herself. I just can’t leave somebody like that, especially after all I’ve done for her already. So you see, any amount that you donate would be highly appreciated, even if it’s a little bit.
Thank you for reading!!
