My name is James, I am 39 years old and have three little kiddos from a previous marriage who are 12,10, and 8. They are so awesome, the light of my life. Transparently I am embarrassed to be on here, this embarrassment only being shadowed by my desperation. I am a Special Forces Combat Veteran, I served 10 years in the Army deploying multiple times to Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries/theaters. I was fortunate enough to be accepted into PA school after the military, becoming a PA-C. I am currently 100% disabled through the military; suffering immensely from PTSD, severe depression, and chronic pain from multiple injuries. I had back surgery and both of my hips replaced before I was 35.
I have always been able to push through these disabilities, always have been able to juggle and balance them with my life. In 2022, I began to decompensated and was not able to balance these problems anymore. I had to go on medical leave due to the severity of my depression and PTSD. I am sure the second and third order affects of COVID instigated this decline, but who knows at this point. I have been trying to get medically cleared to go back to work since the summer of 2022, but am unable to be cleared. I am solely living off of what I make from the military disability, and am slowly going into more and more debt having to use credit cards to make things work. I feel like I am ice skating up hill, the harder I try to push forward the further and faster I am falling behind.
Anything, ANYTHING, that is donated to help me make ends meet I truly, truly appreciate, in front of GOD grateful! Again, I feel so ashamed asking for help in this manner, but I do not have anyone in my life that can help me anymore. My priority is making sure the kids have everything they need, and after that my life is still continuing to decay.
