Greetings. My name is Robert Willis. And I am the Pastor for my online ministry “Treasure In Earthen Vessesl Ministry INTL”. I live at a Apartment Community with my wife Gale who works as the manager of the complex. It is a closed in complex that services homeless & displaced veterans. We have been living here for over 3 years. In the time that we have been here we have seen several veterans die, being found in their rooms. The cause of death most of the time is drug and alcohol abuse. Many of the veterans are lonely especially during the pandemic. During that time all of the community rooms were closed due to distancing mandates. Recently the mandates were lifted and the community rooms were open for use. Unfortunately many of the vets succumbed to soliciting prostitutes, drug and alcohol abuse. And death was the result in many instances. Therefore myself along with a handful of other veterans formed a activities committee. The goal & vision being is to get veterans out of their apartments so that they can interact, fellowship and change the climate at the complex; so that the vets can be encouraged. Currently we host movies nights, Hot socials, game nights, picnics etc. We currently raise donations among the vets. But it is my goal not to take from them but give to them as they have already given by serving their country. Therefore I am asking for a donation of $10,000 to sponsor all activities for the year. I sincerely thank whomever took the time to read this and it is my hope that you would give to aid us in giving back to the Veterans who sacrificed for our country.
