In January 2017 my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer and was told he had three to six months to live. He was on a mission and fought his battle for 22 months. It was us against the world, fighting the cancer and the clock to achieve a dream. During which time I was his sole caregiver, cheerleader, advocate, hands, feet, and eyes, while working a very demanding full-time job. I worked from hospital rooms, waiting rooms, treatment rooms, and hotel rooms never leaving his side. We gave up our house and most of our belongings during the first 13 months of treatments.
During his fight he did everything in his power to ensure that we achieved our dream of owning a horse farm/ranch and building our dream home on it. We found the perfect farm that had the foundation for our vision. However, he was unable to close on the property before he died in October 2018. During his 22-month battle I exhausted our savings in medical bills and starting the business.
In September of 2019 I was able to close on the property with a hard money lender at 12% interest however it does not allow for owner occupancy. Since his death I had a stroke in January 2019, closed on the property in September 2019, business brought to a halt due to Covid-19 in March of 2020, I went on SSID in July 2020, and have exhausted all of my reserves. It seems like every step forward is met with two steps back. The harder I fight the harder it gets.
I am praying for the help I need to get me back on my feet. I need to pay off the hard money loan, purchase a modular home to place on the property to live in while my house is being built, complete the rehab of the property, and get the business back moving in the right direction. Once my house is built, I will use the modular home as an AIR B&B.
I am asking in faith for $1,620,500. The money will ensure that I can get back on my feet and start with a clean slate and work the horse business & farm and make our dream a reality. The breakdown of how the funds will be used is as follows: $700K Hard Money Loan, $130K Purchase and install modular home, $350K Build House, $250K Complete farm rehab, and $190.5K Pay Loans, Operating, and Staffing expenses to get the business moving again.
I have exhausted all my resources and do not want to lose the farm and not fulfill his dying wish and make our dream a reality. Asking for help is hard, because I am usually the one helping. I need help and I am asking for your help.
I thank you in advance for your generosity and I pray continued blessings on your life.
