Hello, Reader. Yes, I’m talking to you :)
Now, it might not be true but perhaps in your early 20’s you attended college and wasn’t able to afford many things – maybe a cabriolet, or a nice meal out with friends – really depends on the situation – one person’s coal is another’s gold.
However, I’m not here to dwell on the ‘unfairness’ of life, because it exists and refuses to go away. Therefore, I am here to openly and unabashedly request Your kindest donations.
I do relish in a nice evening out with friends and seeing new sights. The slight problem lies in the amount of disposable income I have.
I grew up comfortably, always have been privately educated. Even now, I am attending a private university. Though my parents aren’t poor, the fees of education leave me with little to spend on leisure.
With your assistance, this ordinary, broke, 20 year old student is able to enjoy what modern life has to offer. Imagine this young soul seeing the Milan Cathedral for the first time.. taking in the cold taste of real Italian gelato on a hot summer’s day.
You, Reader, hold so much power. Power to materialise this into reality. You are holding the reigns of this 20 year old’s memory, history.
Imagine this young girl a few decades into the future; with her swinging slowly in her rocky chair.. her grandchild sitting cross legged in front of her.. with their mouth agape.. amazed by the stories she told of her youth.. of her 20’s.
Imagine Yourself holding a remote, just like the ones used for flipping the channels on a television – this donation of Yours will be just one channel in a whole television network of hundreds or even thousands of programmes. . but for this young soul – it is a whole decade to remember.
– Munkhjin, the 20-year-old
