My son Jeff (3 years old) has been given the opportunity to join a fun and unique learning opportunity. He’ll be able to spend time at school outside. He’ll learn about plants, nature, gardening, and other natural lessons. However, the tuition is out of our price range…or at least would stretch it to the brink.
We are looking to buy a house, which in itself will be a real pickle, and that means a dive in the budget. Right now we are barely hanging on. But this should not prevent the opportunity for learning and experiencing the world.
He would love the chance to be outside to learn about this planet. He would get the opportunity to make friends and grow. Going to a school that stresses the importance of outside play and activity would be a wonder. They will spend a minimum of 80% of their day outside
Currently, I work remotely. This means I am constantly at home. So I know first hand that most of his days are spent cooped up. He gets bored of his toys, bored of tv. He wants and needs to thrive and flourish. A three year old is a sponge for learning and knowledge. He doesn’t need to learn about Paw Patrol. He needs to learn about important matters.
Just to reiterate, the tuition ($3000) is just beyond my means. But it’s not just the tuition his school requires.
Being outdoors translates to lots of clothing. It”s snowbibs, boots, jackets, hats, and mittens. Then duplicates and backups for those just-in-case scenarios. Then there is the bug spray, and sunblock, ect. This all adds up. Money is just so tight. I would love to provide him the chance.
I know as a parent we all want the best for our children. Any consideration would be appreciated. I know I failed inl large by not being better with money. He has suffered for this. I have work ed hard at giving him what he needs. But as we know everything else has seen a spike in cost.
My pay may increase but it’s negated by inflation. Food and housing is very expensive. Education shouldn’t be out of Jeff’s reach. We wMt to strive to build a better future. Please consider this request.
I know any donation would be appreciated and loved. We all are a part of this world. And it’s worth brightening our children’s eyes just to feel like it’s has something to offer.
To those with a kind heart,
Jeff and Lauren
