Hello, I’m a 17 year old junior from High school and I take french class. Around November 2022, my school announced that they were partnering with a travel abroad program called “CIEE” and students taking any language course would have the opportunity to study abroad in the summer of 2023. I love french and everything about it and thought that this would be an amazing opportunity I could not miss.
I applied for the program and applied for a scholarship and got accepted! out of the $7,250 I was supposed to pay for the program, $6,750 got covered by the scholarship. Now this does not include airfare. I live with my mom who is a single mother along with my two brothers. She does not have the financial abilities to cover the airfare and I don’t have anyone else to ask for help. The airfare is around $1,800 and If i don’t schedule my flight by May 29, 2023, my application will get cancelled.
I have never in my life asked anyone for money or even begged, but I know this is an opportunity I don’t want to miss and I don’t want to regret loosing it. Anything would be appreciated. Thank you so much for reading and have a blessed day.
