Hi, my name is James, and I’m a student studying Civil Engineering at the University of Wales Trinity St David.
I’m currently working as an Assistant Engineer but the company I work for can no longer pay for my student’s fees, and it looks as though I will have to find a new job. I am almost at the end of my first year of study, but my fees have not been paid since the beginning of term in last September 2021. It really would be a big waste of time (1 year and nearly 5 months) if i was unable to finish my HNC.
I would apply for student finance, but I already have an undergraduate degree in Criminology and law. After spending 8 years working in a law firm and then later for central government, I changed jobs and started to retrain in engineering.
I have just started a second job at a local bar to help save money but to save anything close to what I need now would be impossible. This hasn’t been helped by the fact that my vehicle has also just broke down. I have no clue to how much this will cost me as of yest.
I love my new role, and I’ve been told I have a talent for it, but I cannot progress unless I get my HNC and later HND (money depending). If I was to pass this year and achieve my HNC qualification in civil engineering, the principal contractor my company is currently working to I’m sure, would take me on. They are a large company in the top FTSE companies, but a minimum requirement to start as an assistant engineer would be to have a HNC or HND in Civil Engineering before applying.
If was able to get my HNC I’m sure I could get my foot in the door with a company that could pay for my HND.
I have no idea if this website works or not, I googled it ‘ask for money’ in complete desperation today and here I am writing this message to you. If I can pull this off, this time next year I’m sure I will be in the position to give back to somebody else in their hour of need on this website, or better still pay pal anyone who might be kind enough to help me.
