My name is Blaire Ferry, and I just recently graduated college. I have two majors and two minors (English on a Writing Track Major, Religious Studies Major, Jewish Studies Minor, and Ancient Mediterranean Studies Minor), and I graduated on the Dean’s List with a 3.94. However! With academic achievement, there comes financial burden, and I’m currently in debt around $170,000 in student loans. Why am I telling you this? Because my next step, once that debt is gone, is to head to a Lutheran Seminary and become a hospital Chaplain. I have had an extremely hard life with ups and downs that have shaped me I to who I am. I feel completely called to become a Chaplain, because I want to be a calming presence and support for those who really need it. I love the medical world, and have no fear or death or illness. I want to spend every day of the rest of my life waking up, and being there for other people who need that support. NO MATTER their religious or spiritual beliefs. I want to help anyone. But, my debt is stopping me from this, and I would love the debt to be removed so I can continue on my journey. If you can even just pay one dollar, that’s One dollar closer to my goal, and it would mean the world to me. I am reaching out not because I’m lazy or want all your money (I’m currently working multiple jobs as I attempt to pay rent and keep up with my bills), but because I hope some of you can understand the passion I have for this calling forward, and may be willing to help.
Blessings and love to you, and I wish you the best in all things (regardless of you help with money or not :) )
