As of this moment, I owe $16,805.37 on my student loans. The bulk of it is a private loan for a school that no longer exists. They closed their doors in December of 2009, and had a class action lawsuit against them, that was won by the students in 2011. Sadly, there was nothing left to receive from this win, loan forgiveness was never an option given unless we used the law firm that started the lawsuit, and the end result was not financially worth it. I have been paying on these loans for 12 years, and I still have 4 years of payments left (including this year). I really want to be rid of this so I can move on with my life, and perhaps actually live it.
This next part can go one of two ways:
Due to circumstances when I was younger (a minor at the time), my teeth have suffered irreparable damages, in short, I need new teeth. Whether it be implants or dentures, what remains needs to be removed first. There are options nearby to me that would allow me to have all of the afflicted teeth to be removed and be fitted for implants/dentures in the same day. This option is not cheap by any means, nor is it covered by insurance. If I go with the standard dentist/oral surgeon then it will take months (maybe even over a year) to have everything done. To have this done all at once, I would need $25k – $30k in addition to the money for the Student Loans.
Optionally, I can finance the whole shebang and make payments for the rest of my life, but only if I get the money to pay off the Student Loans.
I am willing to send photos of my teeth if need be, but I will not post pics here
TLDR: $16,805.37 to pay off my Student Loans and/or $30,000 (approx) for New Teeth.
